PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
This policy explains how Turnodo handles information when you use our website, applications, and Chrome extension (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Information we handle
Information you provide
- Account information: your email address, display name, authentication details, and profile settings when you create or use an account.
- User content: lists, tasks, notes, due dates, reminders, tags, shared-list information, expenses, budgets, settlements, and other content you choose to enter.
- Communications: information included in messages you send to our support or contact addresses.
Information handled automatically
- Local application data: guest lists, tasks, reminder details, preferences, and alarm metadata stored on your device or in your browser profile.
- Technical information: limited diagnostic, authentication, device-token, and integration information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Services.
2. How we use information
We use information only to provide and maintain Turnodo, including to:
- Create, display, update, search, and synchronize your lists, tasks, reminders, and other content.
- Authenticate accounts and keep account data available across supported devices.
- Schedule and deliver reminders and notifications requested by you.
- Provide collaboration, shared-expense, and optional integration features.
- Protect the Services, investigate errors, and prevent misuse.
- Respond to questions, support requests, and privacy requests.
We do not sell personal information or use your task content for targeted advertising.
3. Guest use and account synchronization
You can use supported Turnodo features without signing in. Guest lists, tasks, and reminders are stored locally in your browser or device and are not synchronized to a Turnodo account.
If you sign in, Turnodo may import the guest workspace into your account so it can be synchronized through our backend. Local guest data is removed after a successful import. You can remove local guest data by clearing the site or extension data, or by uninstalling the extension.
4. Chrome extension permissions
The Turnodo Chrome extension requests only permissions used for its task and reminder functionality:
- Alarms: schedules reminders at times selected by you.
- Notifications: displays reminders when they become due.
- Side panel: provides the extension’s task-management interface.
- Storage: retains guest data, preferences, and scheduled-reminder metadata.
- Backend host access: connects to Turnodo’s Supabase backend for authentication and optional account synchronization.
The extension does not execute remotely hosted code. Its executable application code is included in the installed extension package.
5. Service providers and integrations
We use service providers to operate parts of Turnodo. These currently include Supabase for authentication, database, realtime synchronization, and backend functions, and Firebase services for supported push-notification functionality.
If you choose to connect an optional third-party integration, such as Google Calendar, Turnodo processes the authorization and integration data needed to provide that feature. Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Turnodo does not connect optional integrations without your action.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We disclose information only as needed to:
- Provide the Services through the service providers described above.
- Share content with people you explicitly invite to a list or group.
- Comply with applicable law, legal process, or valid government requests.
- Protect the rights, safety, integrity, and security of users, Turnodo, or others.
- Complete a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.
7. Data retention and deletion
Account data is retained while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the Services. Local guest data remains on your device until it is imported, cleared, or the extension or application is removed.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and recordkeeping purposes.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access and database access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s privacy
Turnodo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Turnodo changes. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Services where appropriate.
